A healer does not heal you. A healer is someone who holds space for you while you awaken your inner healer, so that you may heal yourself.

I earned my degree as a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine at the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College (AIMC) in Berkeley, California in 2010. My studies included on-site clinical treatment hours, as well as externships in Berkeley, the San Francisco Homeless Prenatal Program, and at the Santa Rosa Jewish Community Free Clinic working with Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture & herbs, My clinical focus included Chinese and Japanese style gentle acupuncture, herbal medicine treatments, nutritional guidance, and integrative medicine approaches.

After receiving my acupuncture license in 2011, I began working in the community acupuncture field treating thousands of patients with a wide variety of health issues. In 2015 I worked alongside other colleagues as an acupuncturist on a UCSF Osher Center study titled “Group Acupuncture for Painful Diabetic Neuropathy” at my former work Community Acupuncture Works in San Francisco. In 2019, I co-created a continuing education class focused on the role of acupuncture in regulating the nervous system as a way to help manage autoimmunity and chronic pain issues. I also worked as the onsite clinical manager for Alameda Community Acupuncture for several years before opening my private practice Mandy Rose Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine in 2020. Currently I work at Energy Matters Acupuncture & Qigong in Oakland as well as on-site with in-home patients,

Throughout my life I have always felt the call to be of service to my community. My extensive background working in the education field, the non-profit sector and several service-oriented jobs earlier in my life created the perfect groundwork to flow into my journey as a healer. I have seen first-hand time and again the positive effects this medicine has to offer for a sustainable and healthy lifestyle.

I firmly believe in respecting and co-healing with people of all backgrounds, ethnicities, religions, gender expressions, orientations and physical abilities. I encourage us to heal together as a collaborative effort. I am excited to continue to evolve as a healer and work to support each of you in this lifelong process of wellness.
